- How old is the house? If you are looking for a home from a specific time period then this will be important information to get.
- What type of construction is the home? Some homes are built of wood, while others are made of bricks. Knowing what type of materials were used to build the house can be a key to your happiness.
- What type of home is it? Some houses are made for a single family while others are multi-family, duplexes, mobile homes, townhouses or condominiums. It is important to find out what type of home you are looking at.

Again these are all great tips for buying a property. You’ll save yourself a lot of time if you’re really clear about what you want. That way, you’ll only have to physically inspect the properties that meet you selection criteria.
Having a clear idea of what you desire in a property is essential or else you will end up with something you don’t want. Take the time to work it out. If you don’t know what you want, write down what you don’t want and look for the opposite.
