Should I Invest In Real Estate Seminars?

The number of real estate seminars and property investment gurus that have stepped into the light is astounding. They seem to be in extremely high demand these days. A single event now days can bring in tens of thousands of individuals who are interested in becoming the next Donald Trump.

All of the different options leaves investors, especially those who are novice, wondering how to weed out the worthless events from the ones who truly present some valuable insight. Honestly, in this market, you would be hard pressed to find genuine bad information, because as an investor you need all the information you can get. The difference comes in the price as well as the quality of the information obtained.

Distinguishing Good From Bad

Here are a few tips that will help you make up your mind about which property seminars and guru events you will benefit from the most:

• Be leery of events that are expensive. If the cost of admission is thousands of dollars and does not include substantial informational materials and follow-up training, you may not be getting everything you paid for.
• Free is not always free. If the event is presented free of charge, you can expert someone will try to sell you something. Hosting a seminar is expensive, so expect to pay something somewhere along the line.
• Research the speaker. Find out from others, either in person from your friends or from reviews online, what type of presentation you can expect from a particular speaker. You do not want to pay hundreds of dollars for a seminar that will have you dozing off within the first twenty minutes.
• Do not be fooled by the big names. Do not invest a boatload of money into a seminar just because the speaker is popular. Browse the Internet for less expensive events that may provide you with the same valuable information.

  1. Hi Sean,

I think real estate seminars are a great way to learn about the market and meet like-minded people you can build relationships with for the future. If you ask around and visit online forums; you’ll be able to find out who gives the best seminars for the best price.

I have been to many seminars and it seems their is always a sales pitch. That does not mean it wasn’t worthwhile going as I have always gained valuable information from all of them.
