In this edition if our continuing series we will look at some more ways to prioritize what you want in a new house. By having a clear set of priorities it will help you to minimize the amount of time that you spend looking sat new homes and help you to narrow down your search. If you have a clear vision of what you want in a house than it will make looking for a new home a lot easier for you overall.

The Features That You Really Want

Features can play a big part in how much you like your home. There are many features available and what you need to determine is which ones are the most important to you. Here are a few things to consider when you are deciding which features you want in your new property.

  • How many bedrooms do you want? In determining how many bedrooms you need you will want to ask yourself a few questions. How many children do you have? Do they each need their own room, or are they able to share? Do you frequently have overnight guests that you need to accommodate?
  • Do you want a master bedroom suite that includes a bathroom, or will you be happy with just a large bedroom? Do you want to have a walk in closet to fit all of your clothing, shoes and accessories or will a simple closet work?
  • How many bathrooms do you need? Can you make do with one bathroom, or will you need more than one? Is a half bath acceptable or does it need to be a full bath?
  • Do you need office space?
  • Are you looking for a lot of storage space?
  • Do you need a garage?
  • Are you interested in a garden area?

These are all good questions to ask yourself when you are determining which features you want in your new home.

Home features are definely what sells a property. What is great for you isn’t always what some one else wants though. Having a clear idea of what features you are looking for in your perfect home will save you alot of time and head aches.
