Negotiating is a great skill to learn, and it is of great value in the real estate market. Taking the time to listen to someone is always a compliment to the speaker..in this case the seller. This would put them in a more receptive emotion frame...which is good...for the buyer.

Hi Sean,

This is excellent advice. I'm going to work on my listening skills because you're right; anything the client says is far more important than anything I have to say. And, if I'm doing all the talking, I won't get to hear what's important to them.

I think I need to learn how to negotiate. I don't think it's something I would be good at but I can learn to listen.
